Learning by Growing
GRO-FUN is taking fun, practical vegetable growing workshops into Bristol's primary schools. Our aim is to inspire children about healthy food & bring them the chance to experience the joy of growing food, whilst reconnecting the 'gardeners of tomorrow' with where their food really comes from. Our workshops are designed to help support curriculum learning in an outdoor classroom setting whilst developing great life skills.

 

We relish the delight we see on childrens' faces as they watch how a seed develops into a bean or a tomato plant! For many children this will be the nearest they have been to this most fundamental element of living nature and goes some way to addressing Nature Deficit Disorder.
